W.O. Larsen 1864 Perfect Mixture is a high-end Danish aromatic pipe tobacco created to celebrate the founding year of the W.O. Larsen tobacco shop in Copenhagen. It is often regarded as the “crown jewel” of the Larsen lineup, known for its extreme smoothness and complex leaf processing.

This mixture is crafted to be a “creamy” and sophisticated aromatic, balancing natural tobacco sweetness with delicate toppings.
- Tobacco Components: A masterful blend of bright Virginias (from the USA and Brazil), mellow Burleys (from Mexico and Malawi), and a specially fermented Black Cavendish.
- Preparation: Portions of the Virginia and Burley are pressed into cakes, matured, and then cross-cut into small cubes, which are mixed with loose-cut ribbon and Cavendish.
- Flavoring: The primary notes are creamy vanilla, chocolate, and Irish cream. Some reviewers also detect a subtle hint of orange and nuttiness.
